The VIDEC Decompressor allows you to view QuickTime movies which have been created with the Connectix Color QuickCam. The Color QuickCam can use a compression method called VIDEC (Video Digitally Enhanced Compression) to compress the video image before it is sent to the computer. Movies captured with Color QuickCam can be saved using VIDEC compression; however, to view a movie compressed with VIDEC you must have the decompression Extension installed. For example, if you capture a movie using VIDEC and send it to a friend, that person will need to install the VIDEC Decompressor before he can play the movie back. You may give the VIDEC Installer to anyone who will be viewing QuickTime movies compressed with VIDEC.
